December 15, 2006 Our 30th Anniversary Year is coming to an end, and what a year it has been!The Shelby Team now stands at 90 employees, more than we have ever had in our 30-year history! Over 20% have joined us just this year. New positions have been created and new associates added to meet the challenges of a growing, thriving organization. Your hard work, professionalism, and innovation have allowed Shelby to take advantage of the new opportunities in an ever-changing marketplace. It is your dedication and commitment that enables us to grow our business and keep pace with today's challenges.One of the most exciting achievements of the past year was the introduction of Arena at the NACBA Conference in July. We've created quite a stir in the marketplace. Industry blogs are full of speculation and comment! Even though the product will not be officially available until January 2, 2007, we have pre-release customers using Arena right now, and many are in line to be among the first to sign up after the New Year.To reflect Shelby's expansion into a broader marketplace, we have changed the name of our user group meeting to the International Shelby Conference. Next year we will be back in Texas with ISC San Antonio. Our meeting continues to draw huge crowds and we expect to break all records in 2007. Our customer support base has grown to over 4,200 with active support agreements. When you take into consideration the customers with multiple sites and multiple users, we have well over 50,000 users. Again, it is your commitment to customer service that makes Shelby a company users stick with long after the initial purchase.With all this growth, we are eagerly anticipating the move into our new World Headquarters building in 2008. We have finalized the approval of the building design and look forward to our groundbreaking in 2007.Having passed the 30-year milestone, I am now looking forward with great anticipation. Although it is fun to reminisce about the past, I am focused on the future. There are so many great things ahead in store for us. I am so glad that I will be sharing the journey ahead with 89 wonderful folks, without whom none of this would be possible.My thanks to each of you for your hard work and support.
